This is the page for all the background characters, specifically engines, that are in Quest 89. These engines had minor roles and were never referred to by name, and thus they don't require pages of their own, as they would just be stub articles.

SR Bulleid Q1Edit

An unnamed Q1 appeared inside the LNER Sheds in the second episode. Nick originally confirmed it to be

Gunner, but has since gone back on this claim and changed the cannon, as Gunner is now deceased and it would not work in the timeline.

TriviaEdit

  • The hybrid's model is a 2009 Stanley model.

GWR 14xx (Season 1)Edit

An unnamed 14xx appeared in the seventh episode. It was seen in a New Zealand scrapyard and was waiting to be questioned by Diesel, as he apparently had ties to Connor. The 14xx later escaped the scrapyard with Charlie, Scruff, The Scrapyard Engine, Bash and Dash, after Ivo Hugh freed him.

TriviaEdit

  • The 14xx's model is a 2003 Oliver model. It looks identical to the latter but it is not supposed to be him.

The Scrapyard EngineEdit

Little is known about the scrapyard engine. He had to have known Connor at some point as all the engines the diesels captured and brought to the scrapyard were friends of Connor. Sometime before or possibly during the first season, the engine was captured and brought to the scrapyard in New Zeland as it was the farthest place from Sodor Mr. Railway Man could think of.

Season 1 Edit

Thomas met the Scrapyard Engine in the scrapyard. Later, he escaped with Charlie, Scruff, Oliver, Bash and Dash.

Persona Edit

Not much is known about him. He told Thomas that he was not alone and later thanked Ivo for saving them.

  • The Scrapyard Engine's model is a 2013 James without the tender.

Trivia Edit

  • The model for the unnamed engine is of The Big City Engine or The Foreign Engine from The Railway Series. Due to the model not having the same tender as the character, as well as the fact that some other small details are different, they are not the same character.

GWR 14xx (Season 3)Edit

Another 14xx appeared in another scrapyard in the Season 3 finale. It was old and rusty and witnessed 089 fighting Timothy. Although not said in the episode, this engine, along with the other engines of Timothy's Yard, were his previous bodies. This means that at some point, Timothy possessed the engine but later abandoned it in his yard. It is unknown why he spared it, as the 14xx is the only alive engine in the yard.
